OUR HISTORY

In 1988, Doug Lowe and Ben Schrik, both certified tool and die makers, recognized a need in the automation industry and founded Lorik Tool Inc. in Brantford, Ontario, Canada.

After several years of continued growth, Lorik Tool built a custom manufacturing facility on Copernicus Boulevard in Brantford.  The company quickly outgrew this facility and in 1998, Lorik Tool Inc. moved to its currently facility down the road on Copernicus.  In 1999, Ben Schrik became sole owner of the company after Doug Lowe passed away unexpectedly.

As the company’s growth and success continued, Werner Bohner, a long- time employee and General Manager, took ownership of the company in 2007.  At this time, the corporate name changed to Lorik Tool & Automation to better encompass the abilities and expertise of the company.  Lorik Tool & Automation has remained a respected custom manufacturing company that provides their customers with innovative and cost-effective solutions.  With a long and rich history, Lorik Tool & Automation looks forward to a future that continues to offer its customers a complete solution for all their automation needs.
